Homebrew Cray-1A

Chris Fenton built his own fully functional 1/10 scale Cray-1 supercomputer. True to the original, it includes the couch-seat. This is a pretty amazing feat to accomplish. The hardest part according to Chris Fenton is finding software for his Cray-1A. Chris has been generous enough to include all software for this project available here if you want to build one for your own living room. Chris Fenton’s site includes the The Cray-1A Architecture, the hardware, the software, and the steps he took to build the scaled down version of Cray-1. This is a really neat project that would take a number of hours of planning, design, and hard work to accomplish. My hat is off to Chris Fenton.
